Bearspaw Eclectic Farmhouse Home Design

Project Story

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to work with this wonderful family in 2009, designing a home on the edge of Big Hill Springs Park with one of the most amazing views of the mountains we’ve ever encountered!   This was to be a home for living and for entertaining – with clearly defined and separated spaces for each.  Throughout the design process we gleaned not only more information, but also a greater sense of our client’s personalities and lifestyle and developed a design with that in mind.  The walkout basement provided dedicated areas for guests, for get-togethers and for hobbies.

Stay tuned to see the suite being developed on this property.

Challenges & Solutions

The homeowners wanted to incorporate a separate room for watching storms develop over the mountains.  We designed a second level above the foyer (and in a turret) providing unobstructed views to the southwest.

They also wanted a home that had the essence of being added to over the generations, or as the family grew.  To accomplish this, we added exterior detailing that showed subtle changes between different segments of the home.
