We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual to work with us on a wide range of Residential Design projects.
We are seeking someone who currently resides in the Calgary area and who is confident in dealing with local bylaws and building code regulations for the City of Calgary and surrounding areas. Strong team communication and meeting skills are essential.
Applicants must possess an Architectural Technology diploma (or equivalent) with experience and demonstrated skills in residential drafting, and a passion for residential design. Successful candidates will be very proficient in Revit and 3D visualization. Experience with MS Office software is required, as is familiarity with administrative tasks and the ability assist our lead designers in carrying a client’s project through to completion.
Role Description:
- Assist lead designers in completing projects. Help to ensure their project finishes within predetermined timelines and hours allocated.
- Undertake the preparation of the Arch. Control, Development and Building Permit Drawings for a variety of clients and project types (Renovations, Single Family, Semi Detached, Multi-Family)
- Follow all internal quality control guidelines and processes.
- Represent the firm in a professional manner.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of our process and products to ensure the highest level of customer service possible.
Potential Future Role Description:
- Assist clients and become a trusted point of contact throughout their project.
- Design for a variety of clients and project types (Renovations, Single Family, Semi Detached, Multi-Family)
- Attend on-site visits and design meetings and facilitate virtual meetings with clients and builders as required to help our projects progress successfully.
Qualifications and Skill Set:
- Graduate from a recognized Architectural Technology (or equivalent) program.
- Experience in, and a passion for, Residential Design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Revit is required.
- Multi- family experience would be a benefit.
- Rendering skills are preferred.
- Organized and able to work well under time constraints.
- Proficient with local municipal bylaws and building codes.
- Flexible and able to work with a variety of Residential Projects and teams.
- Strong written and oral skills in English are required.
Terms of employment and compensation are negotiable. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill level.
