Project Story

This home was one of those classics that had good bones, but had lost its 1950s shine.  Our client saw an opportunity to work with that good structure, and turn this home into a real showpiece on one of Calgary’s most beautiful streets.

This home was awarded a 2019 CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence, Renovation for West Ridge Fine Homes of Calgary.

Challenges

A key challenge of this project was to be respectful of the mid-century vibe of the original home while incorporating modern spaces and amenities.  We added square footage while staying true to the angles of the original bungalow, opened the home up to bring in an abundance of natural light and created a home that fit in seamlessly to the neighbourhood.
