Inner City Living at Buckmaster Park
Our client’s intent was to build a 6 unit walk up townhouse development which responded to a market demand for smaller units and more affordable housing in the area. The final design option offers private amenity spaces in the form of a patio at grade and 2nd storey deck per unit, and front drive garage for 5 of the 6 units, with a side garage for the remaining unit. Homes range in size from 1279 to 1386 square feet, and the overall design including front yard space complements the existing homes in the neighbourhood. The driveways were kept as small as possible, while ensuring that homeowners have adequate designated parking in an densely populated community.

The M-CG site for this development was 548 square metres, so the greatest challenge presented was to maximize the number of units possible, while ensuring that each unit had designated parking as mandated by the municipality. As a team we were able to come up with creative technical solutions that the community was able to get on board with, while ensuring an upscale and complementary aesthetic for this vibrant inner-city neighbourhood.
